Paula Bolton Charles Rennie Mackintosh Inspired Garnet Drop Stem Earrings
Paula Bolton is a jewellery designer inspired by the Impressionism, Symbolism, Art Nouevau and Secessionist movements. Her pieces are handcrafted in Sterling Silver by a family of ethical jewellery manufacturers on the beautiful Indonesian island of Bali.
Paula Bolton was working with the Hungarian Art Gallery in Glasgow on jewellery based on Edvard Munch's The Scream when she came across a wonderfully simple sketch by Mackintosh that she thought was crying to be turned into jewellery!
These artistic earrings are in the typical style of Glasgow born artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh. They have been expertly crafted in Sterling Silver with 18ct Yellow Gold plating to highlight the signature Charles Rennie Mackintosh patterns. These intricate earrings drop from a bezel set Garnet stud and are secured with Sterling Silver butterfly backs to ensure safe wearing.
