Sterling Silver Sheila Fleet Runic ‘True Love’ Hidden Message Enamel Stud Earrings

These Runic stud earrings in sterling silver feature silver runic text, reading ‘true love’, on a circular enamelled design. The earrings are hand-enamelled in 'Skaill' enamel in our Orkney workshop.

Sheila’s iconic Runic collection was inspired by inscriptions found inside Maeshowe, a Neolithic chambered cairn in Orkney, built around 2800 BC. Sometime around the 12th century, Vikings broke into the tomb and carved runes on the walls—their version of modern-day graffiti. Over thirty inscriptions have survived and represent the largest single collection of such carvings in the world.

Since its establishment in 1993, Sheila Fleet Jewellery has grown to employ a team of skilled craftspeople in a state-of-the-art Orkney Workshop, where all  jewellery is designed, made, and dispatched, earning worldwide recognition for its distinctive designs rooted in Sheila Fleet's lifelong love for Orkney.
